CHAPTER

The Tragic of the Commons

The tragedy of the commons is a nice metaphor for the general me versus us problem. Our behaviour on the commons is governed by basic feeling, right? That is, if i care about my fellow herders, then i'm not going to sneak in some extra sheep and take more of the grass. Now, we face these global commons problems related to things likeaa, climate change, ray. And it's complicated because it's not just a bunch of individuals with personal feelings for each other. Instead, it's groups with norms and philosophies and with higher archies. With some individuals in the hierarchy, maybe they can benefit froms by saying, to hell with the planet.
