Is There a Professional Price to Pay for That Freedom of Choice?

I'm just kind of curious to know if you thought there would be a professional price to pay for having that freedom of choice. I mean, yes, there are better questions to go after. But for me, it was something that was going to not just be a peal contribution to literature, but it was also going to help me in my own personal life.
