Populism is the forms of politics that have organized themselves around what Marx called at one point the secondary forms of exploitation. If wages were in his sense the primary form of exploitation, taxes, rent, insurance, interest on loans are the secondary Forms of Exploitation. And populist parties have often been parties that have organized around these other forms.
