Chapbots and Conversational Algorithms

Chap wats normally have a huge data base behind them of earlier conversations. They use statistics to decide what would be a good response to what you've just said. People feel, with a chap bot, that the chapbat understands, in some sense, what they're saying. But that isn't how chapbot works, mostly. There's no human there. There's nothing inside. So why do we get s about some robots? Why do they bring such strong emotions in us? I think it is this inferring abilities.
