Westchester county, which includes the city of yonkers, did start a nine one one diversion programme. It's different from bher there aren't separate, full time social workers hired to respond to mental health crisis calls. Instead, dispatchers have been trained to rout calls to mental health councillors who can help people on the phone. Or the call can be routed to a team of crisis responses.
