We Can't Lower Prices, but We're Not the Licensing Distributor

AIDP put an MAP agreement in place, or minimum advertored pricing agreement. This is a standard thing with patented ingredients to ensure everyone selling it follows the rules from the licensed distributor. Other brands regularly break the MAP agreement and AIDP claim they are forcing them to adjust their prices. However, we have no power here. We've asked if they could be more flexible on price before, because they're marking it up a lot from what it costs to produce. The status quo makes too many people too much money to change.
