The Different Forms of Ketamine

Ketamine blocks NMDA receptors on inhibitory neurons and quiets their activity, which of course can lead to runaway excitation in the brain if you are seizure prone. For those of you that are seizure prone, either due to epilepsy or prior head injury, or maybe you're seizure prone and you don't know it, ketamine can induce seizures. The different modes of delivery probably relate more to dosage that actually gets metabolized than anything else.
