The Barrier to Language Acquisition
Adults are better at learning vocabulary partly because we don't also have to learn the concept at the same time so for example a child learning the word concept has to get their head around like what is a concept it's not something that I can see or or or touch right but we already have that reference point and so we can just kind of tack on to that. The social factors that inhibit adults are are a greater barrier than any like neurological ones uh definitely you know definitely well this has been a great conversation this was a lot of fun thanks for taking the time to come on words for granted likewise thank you very much for having me it's been a pleasure if you love today's
