The Future of Computing
I think we can expect that to continue into the sort of infinite future because it's one of these cases where what we define is a language which was defined for its own sake. We've had in the 1600s people talked about sort of philosophical languages as a way to represent knowledge independent of human languages. That was a thing, Leibniz, John Wilkins, people like that wrote about this but they didn't have computers or internet then. And finally, I think we have kind of a language for representing knowledge computationally and I think there's a great opportunity to build sort of an encyclopedia like thing as something which is represented in computational language.
