Alistair is now writing a book about devoting a year to exploring his hometown. It's called local and it'll be out at the end of this year. For him, like so much of what he's done since embracing micro-adventures, is another chance to spur all of us to get into nature. And as he sees it, the point of this is pure and simple fun, which can do wonders for us.
