The Doubled Guitar Solo by David Gilmour

In 1973 doubling was still a relatively new thing to do in the studio and there was a lot of space for experimentation with how to approach it. This whole solo is really two guitar parts, each was performed and recorded separately by David Gilmour. It makes the whole thing sound bigger and more interesting than it otherwise would. At first it seems like the guitar solo is over but it's not. It's just that the quieter left side guitar is taking the lead and is playing by itself.
