The Endometriosis Cycle: Progesterone Withdrawal
Hormones are chemicals made in one part of the body to send messages to other parts. Because hormones are carried in the blood, they can reach every single cell. Progesterone withdrawal is that what we call progesterone withdrawal - it's from that really high level to just come and crash and die. It's that withdrawal of progesterone that triggers a period. I'm going to tell you more about this pretty wondrous hormone as we make our way through the series.
