Xenophon and the Army: A New Rule

Decipas, the man who abandoned the army and sailed away with a 50-ord warship, is back. He's in charge of Cleander at Byzantium; it's not clear what his intentions are. Maybe he wants to recruit an army or size them up somehow. But they run into problems when Decipas learns that some men had taken sheep from him but didn't want to share their spoils. They urged him to save their sheep for them as part of a deal where he would get some himself and give the rest back to them.
