Dakota hills, Oklahoma is the latest city to pay people to move. It's one of a package of measures for redevelopment including tearing down dilapidated buildings and making that town square look refreshed. Cities have been competing with each other since the beginning of time to try to attract and retain residence. This is a new flavor on a very old game.

A motley collection of parliamentarians, now without its whisper-thin majority, has crumbled. That will force the country back to the ballot box—and back to familiar political turmoil.
