The Single Universal Soul
Bichino rejects the theory of reincarnation, but dismisses it as merely poetical and not philosophical. As for soul's existence before birth, Bichino rejects this outright. If souls found themselves in a state of complete freedom, they would never be willing to enter into bodies in the first place. He has to walk a tightrope here, insisting that the soul's nature means that it can never stop existing even though it started existing.
