What Is Harm Reduction?

Harm reduction started as a social justice movement that's built on like the rights of people who use drugs. Because most drug use is episodic and it's non problematic, what we really want to do with harm reduction is make sure that people are using as safely as possible. That might be an abstinence only program or someone going to NA. Another principle is really that drug use is here to stay. And if you think about drug use as alcohol, there's no appetite for getting rid of drugs.
