China Is Not a Friend of the United States
I'm squarely in neil ferguson's camp, that we are in cold war two. The economic situation is very different. Thereis no ideal, logical component to this fight. I don't think china is interested in the imperialist ambitions that the soviet union had to spread communism around the world. They just want the rest of the world to be beholden to them economically. So it's a very, very different challenge in every respect. But as i sort of a galvanizing idea that we do have to get our economy, get our industry, get our government, get our pbi population to start focusing on this issue, i think it is useful to think about it
