The Importance of Silence in Podcasting

This is dangerous territory because people who do this are really proud of themselves about doing it. And I also think like speeding things up or removing pauses, like just tramples all over things like comic timing. So do you think that the people who listen at higher speeds or with silence is snipped out? They're only cheating themselves from the full podcast experience.
