Is There a Technology Transition Energy?

When I left oil and gas, I was convinced that we didn't have the solutions to make energy transition possible as a species. We need to come up with anywhere from 40 to 50 terawatts of energy by 2050. And there's really three technologies or three sources of energy that can actually scale to those levels. The first one is nuclear fission geopolitically very sensitive. Fusion is what the sun does. And the geo term which is the last and tapped renewable. It's that marginally everything else.
