The Virtues of Friendship

We've talked about friendship as a kind of work of mercy in bearing with these wrongs. What do you think are some of the great virtues we can cultivate so that when we encounter disappointments like this, we'll be armed? The virtue of humility is aimed at our relationship with God and knowing that God is God and we are not. And either there's a level of equality there in the friendship or there's no friendship in the true sense.
