The Psychedelic Experience
One of the things psychedelics do to us cognitively is they disrupt what's called the default mode network. The analogy was, if you could imagine a ski mountain with slopes, I'm sorry, ski grooves sort of etched into the side where people have gone down these particular paths time and time again. So that would be the default modenetwork, these ski grooves on the ski mountain. And then the analogy for the psychedelic experience was a fresh coat of powder. It fills in all the ski grooves and allows you to go back to the top of the mountain and say, well, look at all this possibility and potential. You know, there's always a trade off between these
