Hatoyama Kazuo's Transition to Politics
Kazuo and Haruko had two kids in very rapid succession, Hatoyama Ichiro born in 1883. Hideo became a lawyer but did not follow the family trade in politics. Kazuo would continue to follow Okuma, whose next move after politics was to go into education. Both men were big believers in Anglo-American-style liberalism.
