Plutarch and Platonism
Plutarch's openness to various strands of greek thought has led some interpreters to describe him as an eclectic. He drew on various sources, but he ambiguously saw the results as good platon. The most obviously platonist feature of his written legacy is his explicit engagement with plato's writings. With this text, we arrive at core issues of late ancient platonism in any age.
