In 97, when I came to Israel, there were some papers on machine translation. They were like primitive. This was definitely the thing. So, it's just things like syntactic trees, just even basically against our conversation about human understanding of language. And this is fine if we can achieve certain tasks with high accuracy. But that doesn't necessarily mean that it has to understand in the same way as we understand it.
