Kevin is the first person that Alonka meets when she gets to break left he takes her in Anya is supposed to I think give her a tour but she doesn't show up so Kevin kind of fills in and they kind of form a connection Alonka has a crush on him. His mom is very I think a little overbearing and is really fixated on you know her family is life her son's life kind of fitting into a specific narrative. He tells the story of the wicked heart which is based on the Pike book by the same name published in 1993 and Kevin plays the character of Dusty and he is a teenage serial killer in this episode.
