The UK fell victim to three P politics, populism, polarization and post truth. We're running up a downward escalator in terms of national commitments on the climate crisis according to Moises Naime. I always argued against a referendum. Referendums are for dictators and for demagogues. But it just shows the European Union is ready to do so; we passed the Lisbon Treaty.
