The Importance of Language in Economic Anthropology

In 2001 Argentina seemed like a kind of ideal place to think about some of those questions. And so I'd long been interested in this question of how social systems managed to somehow endure and cohere despite rampant injustice. So that's how I ended up sort of locating my work there.
