The History of Tanning

Tanning is a process that skins go through so that they cannot degrade when affected by water. You've got to scrape off the hair if that's the way you're going to go and the fat and all the gunk. The use of vegetable tanning, so barks and leaves, are really rich depending on what type in tanning content. That means that chestnut or kabacho or mimosa or oak bark can be put into liquid and turned into a bit of a tea.
