Pancho VIA's Death
Pancho VIA, a general and what-some called a man of the people, had survived the Mexican Revolution. He'd secured a peace deal with his longtime enemy, President Alvaro Obrigón. But, in 1923, he was gunned down in the streets of Parral, Mexico, at the age of 45,. The telegraph lines in and out of town were cut, so it took hours for people to learn about VIA's death.
