There's a p r issue in everything to do with evolutionary psychology, as far as i can see. Look at david busss recent one meant men behaving badly, bad men. All the things that you think that you value in your partner are adaptations to try and get around your own sexual defences. They often come from a place which is significantly more zero sum. It's significantly altruistic. And it's funny, ecause i know David reasonably well, and i think the world of him and his research, am but i do think that he's almost been too successful.
