What I Wanted to Write About Was a Novel
I was trying to write a novel that would make people think i was really clever, basically. There's just no shying away from that. And actually, what i wanted to write was modern women's fiction. I definitely wanted to write it from the e point of view of being a south asian woman. So when they did happen, or, you know, especially if you look at things like awards and so on, i just didn't know that they were going to happened for me.
