The Adventure Playground
Playgrounds started being built in the US during the Industrial Revolution so kids could have a safe place to play. The destruction of World War II helped inspire a totally new type of playground called the Adventure Playground. Taking small risks can help push kids out of their comfort zone and grow. Some kids are working to build playgrounds that everyone can use and enjoy.
