In the base fate game, you can choose one of your skills at great to at good three at fair and four at mediocre. Using a fate point to add two to that is very significant when your average die roll is going to come out to a zero. So adding plus four to something from minus four to plus four can be very, very significant. That's that's the total number of swing swinginess, total amount of swinginess that you can get with your randomizers with your dice.
