Is There a Toxic Masculinity in Your Memoir?
I'm fascinated by the idea of toxic masculinity. I was always searching for this male influence, trying to find different mentors and early on, all my father figures were like, rap and rock stars and women were hoes and bitches. And there was a certain lack of acknowledgement and respect that came along with it. It's not binary, you can be quote unquote masculine and you can also cry and go to therapy or ask for help. These things can exist at the same time.
