The Dominican Right and the Council of Trent
The Dominican right began in the 13th century by, it was compiled by blessed Humber of Romans. It provided a certain way for all of the Dominican friars throughout the order to celebrate mass. Pope Pius V tried to do the same thing with his response to the Reformation and the Council of Trent. This is where we get the traditional Latin Mass as we understand it today or what's often called the tridentine mass because it's from Trent.
