Is Kevin McCarthy the Speaker of the House?
The iron speaker is something that evolved in the post World War II era with Sam Rayburn and Tip O'Neill. Pelosi really kind of embodied this as well. This is a return to rockessness, which is fine on a conceptual level. But if I am Kevin McCarthy, like, I don't know why I would possibly want to be humiliated on the world stage. It's going to be so embarrassing for him because he also is such a bootlicker to Donald Trump.
