Is the West Going to Pay Everyone's Pensions for the Next Couple of Years?

I don't think the Ukrainian population has wavered for a second in its support of the cause because of anxieties about future economic realities. I see no way to a negotiated settlement right now, whether it's 12 months or six months or two years or five years. Keeping Crimea is crystal clear that that's essential for President Putin. Just keeping Crimea, but not having any other strategic or military objectives achieved, I think is not something that can be negotiated right now.
