Painting a Still Life I'm Just Trying to Make It Up

If you squint at this painting look at the reflection in the mug we talked about the difference between highlights and reflections. It's really just sort of a color sharing deal which is the the term I totally just made up not just now but I did make that up for when light bounces color around in a still life and passes it passed it off so that they all can share listening to you talk about all the pieces that are going on in this still life i'm also just struck by you have a still life you're looking at sometimes when people are starting they're trying to make this up and get frustrated and it's so complicated even when you have something to look at.
