The Importance of Market Efficiency in Baseball
Market efficiency is a funny thing because it's almost always a valid assumption. When should you be willing to believe that the status quo is ripe to exploit? The Colorado Rockies are going to lose 100 games for the next 10 years and they're one of the worst run organizations in baseball, so if you can short them I would tell him not to do it. But what are the chances that someone's going to lose their organization for running it like shit? It hurts so bad to be relegated.
