FTX, Binance, FTT - What's the Shape of the Whale?
FTX was a currency that traded on the Binance exchange. The company bought an absurd amount of FTT and then said, we're going to sell it. That caused what's called in the crypto space a whale - when one organization owns one type of currency so much they could single handedly tank its price. Ben: They were essentially doing kind of a Lehman Brothers-esque, you know, Ponzi scheme kind of thing.
