i think that if you're able to examine some one's life, probably means that you're closer in proximity to them. You see the more frequently. I find that for me, being far away from home and my family, it's always a struggle around the holidays because i'm not there to see what they're in need of. For me, i have liked two different types of gifting approaches as well.
