I think there's usually lots of er, that's all. That's isen a really interesting class er. There's lots of er misunderstandings and around, you know, false ratback accusations,. A whole thing if some one his persistently asked for sex, that counts as as consent. You know, all o these issues that i think are really important to unpack er. And it's really, also, really nice to see at the end of a session that, youknow, after you've had these discussions, they do, they are like, oh, no, that's not consent'
This week, Hannah is joined by Dolly Padalia and Nathaniel Cole from Sexplain, an organisation that provides comprehensive and inclusive SRE workshops for young people in the UK. Dolly and Nathaniel discuss the work of Sexplain, and the conversations they’ve had with young people around consent, sending nudes, and rape culture. They also chat about SRE becoming compulsory this September, and whether schools are ready for it! Nathaniel also talks about being a straight, cis man working in SRE and why those who are part of the problem should also be part of the solution. Finally, they talk about the reaction of parents around teaching young people sex education.
