Petitionary Prayer Is Just One Kind of Prayer

Some people count it as prayer just to be simply in god's presence and being aware of that, even if they're not saying anything particular to god. There has to be some connection between the offering of he prayer and god's bringing about the thing in question for it to count as an answer. For a petitionary prayer a to be answered, it's a little more complicated than just asking god for something and that thing happening. So my own view is that the request that you made has to play some kind of role in god's bringing that thing about. It has to be among god reasons for doing it.
