How Much Should I Load My Tendens?
In the upper limb, particularly in the elbow, patients don't seem to respond as well if they're having to tolerate pain with their exercises. So what we've got to go on with our patients is really symptom management and symptom tolerance. That's how I know how much to load these patients. We need to apply an optimal load that's going to help help this tendon and the pain settle down for you to get strong again. If it's too high, then it will do the reverse and you'll hurt yourself and it will break down.
