The Future of Baseball's ABS System
The next steps are pretty simple. MLB negotiated for a 45 day window to implement any on field rule changes it wants. ABS needs to be vetted by owners and there needs to be some convincing going on if MLB takes that step. At the end of the year, once there's more data about full ABS versus ABS challenge at AAA,. But at this point, I would bet that we're not going to see ABS in MLB in 2024.
