Do We Need to Talk More About Bullying?
In one project that we had ina san diego, with a hundred and forty five schools, we actually tried to make schools welcoming, supportive, carrying. And it was surprising, you know, even four years after not being there and doing the intervention, the levels of bullying, victimization, drug use, gang affiliation are all dramatically down. So that's immediate. We could do that right away if we wanted to report. And incidents of bullying are down. Now, how do you square that with this dramatic increase and say, schoolhouse murders? That seems like a ue tension to me. Help me understand some of the shorter term things that have been shown to be effective.
