If something is altered from its natural state, then it must be bad for you. I think that with certain types of foods or certain food groups, there are only a minority of applications where the more processed it is the better type of thing. Food technology can be a double edged sword. People rip on ultra process foods, but there happens to be an array of foods in the protein department that accomplish really positive things health wise.
