Is There a Restricting Feeling to Linking Up Biography to Every Piece of Art?

Is there a restricting feeling to constantly trying to link up biography to every piece of art you put out? A lot of that's my fault because I have only ever written things that were extremely autobiographical. Mainly because in my twenties, I always thought that was the only way I'd been making anything compelling. The creative has always been viewed as like a window to a human being as an individual.
