The Yellow Banded Poison Dart Frog
A gazelle surrounded by lions in the bush will do something surprising. By jumping up and down, it is apparently saying to the lions, don't come after me. Evolutionarily, this signal is really profitable for the frog. Pea hens decided they like that signal. And so peacocks with big tails end up having more chil and grandchildren, and so the trait spreads.
