The King's Decree to Abolise the Parliament
The king's principal minister was, no doubt, thinking about the parliament as they truly were little enclaves of aristocratic privilege. But by now, the parliament had morfed into something far greater in the public imagination. All real power and authority would be transferred to the plenary court. And as if this wasn't shocking enough, brien further planned to create lesser courts over the next few years to replace the existing hodge podge of weirdly overlapping jurisdictions. If all went according to plan, france would shortly have an entirely new judicial system, and the parliament would become relics of a bygone age.
